About Sebastien Fitch
Sebastien Fitch is an artist, educator and researcher currently based in Montreal, Canada. After studying Medieval History at the University of Toronto and Fine Art at the Ontario College of Art, he spent several years traveling, teaching and exhibiting throughout the U.K. Whilst there, he had the privilege of acting as Artist-in-Residence at the prestigious St Bees Boarding School in Cumbria.
Upon returning to Canada, he completed both a Master’s degree and a Phd in Art Education at Concordia University, where he also taught several undergraduate courses of his own making.
Along with his ongoing artistic practice, his research interests include post-secondary studio art pedagogy and the role of ideology and censorship in art and the art classroom.
